Holy Fuck is this a good show. Its only been one episode (and its only gonna run 8 with these actors) but it's the fucking tits. Im sure Howard will brag about how much he loves it once the current season of the Batchelor has ended.

Keep an eye out for two dudes from The Wire in small parts... and one dude from Deadwood. I cant wait until Booey books Matthew MCconaughy :rolleye:.

    Anyone else seen it?

That was my issue with the show as well. Well, minus the nodding off part. Too dialogue heavy but as was pointed out to me in another thread they had to establish the characters and series.

God dammit, I looked to see if there was another thread already *FAIL*.

Ill agree some of the show drug a bit, but the dialogue was half of what I loved about it - espcially McConaughey's trippy philosophy bullshit.

McConaughey is pretty awesome in the role, but I don't think he is mainstream enough for Howard's audience.

It was a sidebar in a thread that had nothing to do with the show so you're safe.

Somebody was reading a lot of Thomas Harris before they wrote the pilot.

I hope it finds it's feet and becomes a good show. It started slow and promising but could derail if it takes itself too seriously.

Is Frailty the one with Bill Paxton as a murderous dad or something like that?

I think I only saw the first 15 minutes or so and was pretty boring if I recall. So I am assuming it gets better after that?

It's like Fincher's "Seven". I just re-watched the first episode and enjoyed it even more.

Matthew M lost 40 pounds for a role last year and he looks like a freak now, but he is proving to be a real actor to everyone's amazement including my own.

This series only came to my attention since Egotastic announced that Alexandra Daddario will finally be topless (which is a stunning event, even in this age of free huge boobs 24/7)

I really enjoyed the first episode. My only concern is that it becomes quirky for the sake of being quirky. As long as the story is compelling, it won't lose me. The minute style trumps substance, I'm out. It's probably a good thing that it's only 8 episodes. Television usually screws up this kind of formula by stretching out a plot over a very long season. Eventually, the filler and red herrings makes me lose interest.

I liked it a lot. Hope it can maintain the quality.

Howard will end up watching it all at once when it is over. He will praise it and then claim it was only popular cause he liked it. Just like Sharknado.
