Discussion in 'The Howard Stern Show' started by MobyDick, Aug 7, 2014.
I like that all these old shows are being posted. What a glimpse back into history when we now know what the reality is.
Howard was actively twisting arms at fhm for beth's placement in the mag, fhm was moving toward bankruptcy during that time period...more howard subterfuge...
The funniest part of this is Artie's response to Wiggy saying " It's such a funny story, you want to hear it?" - "Uhh, yeah, lets hear it!" in a very sarcastic tone. They all must have known Beef's "modeling career" was a bunch of BS.
If any part of those negotiation talks were true, and I have doubts about that, but IF what Wiggy is saying is true, this gives us some insight into how Beef turned into FrankenBeef. "You're worth SO much money! Get everything you can! You DESERVE special treatment!"
I can see one of these "boy magazines" wanting scantily clad pics of Wiggy's new gf back then. But he's a conscienceless LIAR to sit there and keep repeating Beef had a big career before she met him.
By the way, that pic of Beef on the FHM cover makes "her" look SOOOOOOO masculine.
Wiggy keeps repeating over and over again that the other magazines " lost out " because they didn't vie for Beef to be on their cover. Methinks WIGGY went to all these magazines and FHM was the ONLY one who ever when for it. I am truly amazed that Wiggy has been trying to shovel this turd on the American public for THIS long. His stamina is amazing.
"She does a lot of print ads" - really? Lets see them.
"A whole bunch of television shows wanting come down and film her during her shoot and she said no to that" MMMMKAY
Those 2002 shows are fun and funny for different reasons.
One day Howard not sure whats going on with Beth's career.
The next day he knows everything. Stern was a horrible liar even back then.
Callers and Stern staff goofed on Howard and Beth in the beginning of their relationship. Stern put an end to that quickly.
In one 2 minute period Wiggy said " I felt really uncomfortable and in the way" AND " It was the best day of my life!" The latter is the truth. Wiggy was blowing loads thinking he finally going to prove to the world that he got one of those supermodels!
"I should start a magazine and call it 'Beth'. " They basically did, except with the advent of Twitter, Instagram and how they were able to glom onto NSAL, Wiggy doesn't have to actually pay for it.
It's VERY clear in that clip that he had his gross nose in every aspect of her "career" and was actively promoting it even back then. Their "relationship" has been little more than one long business arrangement.
No kidding. If Beth really was a professional European model, her first thoughts wouldn't be to model for free...
Howard: "Because you know, Robin, my millions of listeners would be buying up every issue that had Beth O. on the cover..."
and then there's "Bobo, you're on the air!" ... "Howard, I bought 20 of them, boy is my wife pissed, etc."
All through that, you could hear the gears turning in the Howard promotion machine.
