I'm going to leave them a note explaining that "Speedy" was a long time friend and that we are having a viewing for him.
OK, they're lighting a big cigar down in cape Canaveral in about 20 minutes, that is going up the east coast and supposedly will be visible. Launch is 6:20 Attn MrWarmth Where to look Southeast U.S. coastline: Anywhere north of Cape Canaveral, viewers should initially concentrate on the south-southwest horizon. If you are south of the cape, look low toward the north-northeast. If you're west of the cape, look low toward the east-northeast. Mid-Atlantic region: Look toward the south about 3 to 6 minutes after launch. Northeast: Concentrate your gaze low toward the south-southeast about 6 to 8 minutes after launch. For most viewers, the Falcon 9 will appear to skim the horizon, so be sure no buildings or trees obstruct your view. Because the rocket likely will appear rather small and dim, scanning the sky with binoculars might help.
Speedy was a family mouse with a 134 offspring. When he wasn't foraging for food and leaving his waste all over the place he was busy with community projects such The Bountiful Dumpster and Habitat for Hamsters. RIP my good friend.
Take all that money and fill the potholes for crying out loud. Unless there's oil in space there's no reason to go messing around out there. Up there. Thank you.
