really exceptional. I don't know why I've never paid attention to this channel, it really is a gem. No commercial interruptions, no editing, and they air truly some of the greatest films ever made. Dramas, comedies, musicals. If you are a film buff, it's a channel you'll find yourself addicted to.

I'm currently watching All the President's Men, last week The Sting. (I've also watched a shit ton of gay musicals, Funny Girl, West Side Story, Oliver, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hello Dolly

They should rename it the Golden Years channel.

Loved it when they'd air Z-grade horror/sci-fi like Zaat (Blood Waters of Doctor Z). I wonder if they still do? Great channel, some obscure stuff from time to time.

I still think it's crazy that Beatrice Straight won the best supporting actress Oscar for a five minute scene

I love that channel. Robert Osborne is a real gem. I recommend listening to his interview on the Gilbert Godfried podcast.

I wish they would show more of the B Sci-Fi and horror movies from the 50's and 60's. But yes that is a great network.

Love the channel. Like everyone else, they sometimes show pan & scan versions of films, rather than widescreen. The Candidate and Network are two recent examples. I'm surprised channels aren't phasing out those crappy pan & scans but I'm sure it's low on their list of priorities.

I'm always surprised that they don't edit out bad language or nudity. They keep the movies as they were made. Bless them.

Wish they'd show more Marx Brothers flicks. I had 4 of them on my DVR but lost them last month. Fucking sucks.

Glad ya found the channel in time for August's "Summer Under the Stars" month. Each day a different star is showcased and it is nothing but movies they were in for that day.

    August 8 - Esther Williams
    August 9 - Tim Holt
    August 10 - Hedy Lamarr
    August 11 - Spencer Tracy
    August 12 - Janet Gaynor
    August 13 - Ralph Richardson
    August 14 - Cyd Charisse
    August 15 - Roddy McDowall
    August 16 - Anne Baxter
    August 17 - James Edwards
    August 18 - Angie Dickinson
    August 19 - Ruby Keeler

I cut the cable cord over a year ago. The only channel I miss is TCM. Hopefully, one day we will be able to pay for and stream only the channels we want to watch. Until then, I've got 1000's of dvd's to watch. What I don't have I stream off of Netflix or Amazon Prime.
