Texas senate passed a bill to drug test welfare applicants. Are YOU concerned?
Personally I think it sucks but I understand what their thinking is.
Should be in every state
It's about time.
mass exodus out of texas..them good old boys are smart
Excellent. WE tried that in FL as well, but the faggots caved.
That's great news. Hopefully it will set a precedent and other states will follow.
No! They should be, ignorant libtard shit mult!
It didn't work in Florida and it won't work in Texas. Trust me even poor drug addicts can produce a clean drug test if they know they have to. They denied a whole 2% of applicants in Florida with this test due to detection of an illegal substance. It is one type of govt spending that seems to make conservatives feel good though
I'll tell you what's unconstitutional. The gang of 8 holding closed door meetings on restricting our 2nd Amendment rights. That's fucking unconstitutional!
Dammit! I was hoping it would work but you're right. They always find a way to get free money. Clever fuckers.
I guess you're right. It would probably cost more to do the drug tests than any savings the state would get by denying welfare.
Shit mult? You're the sloppy smpooy here that sucks ass! Get a fucking job fat bastard bitch.
ya, this probably makes sense...it goes along with the whole making it easier to sign folks up for assistance...they have people & programs now that if you are signed up for food stamps, no matter how temporary, they will search those food stamp records & automatically sign you up for medicaid....not to mention the ease that you can now qualify for disability now... the leftwingnuts need you to be dependents so they can keep their jobs....
It's so wrong, and so backwards, on so many levels......Is it fair to guess this was primarily a Republican "Smaller, Less Invasive Government " project?????? And yeah, I'm too lazy to look it up but when they tried this shit in Florida, it costed way, WAY more than it "saved" by denying a handful of people their subsistence....
our gubmint cant do shit right...fuck em.
Focus on making these programs harder to get, harder to keep, demand personal updates of status, and maybe even incentivize a career path for these people and you may see less people on the dole or at least less new applicants. A drug test (especially urine) is too damn easy to pass if you know it is coming.
As far as disability, that really needs a revamp but that is another story.
