It's not from taxes just FYI:

The Crime Victims Fund (the Fund), established by the 1984 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), supports programs that significantly impact the lives of more than 4.2 million crime victims each year. Since its inception, the Fund has been supported not by tax dollars but by fines, penalty assessments, and bond forfeitures collected from convicted federal offenders. Legislation passed in 2001 allows the Fund to also receive gifts, donations, and bequests from private entities. OVC distributes money deposited into the Fund directly to states to support state compensation and assistance services for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, drunk driving, homicide, and other crimes.

I bet all the black on black victims families are kinda pissed off about getting screwed. the key is to get killed by the white devil.

They don't say all of it will go to victims. I bet a lot of that money goes to defer the salaries of police and government workers in connection with the memorials and for stuff like that. Maybe their burials get paid by it. Maybe other churches get money to beef up security.
It does seem weird but it was a terrorist or disastrous act.
I wonder if the victims familys get a pay out or money to provide for the children they left behind.

Wow. Wonder how much Darren Wilson got when he was exonerated. George Zimmerman?

Conform and be rewarded, don't and be destroyed.

If you count this fund plus federal and Dept of Education grants, Sandy Hook got way more.

I am trying to look an exact amount but so far I've found 45 million going to Newtown.

All funds held by government are fungible. The source of that revenue is immaterial. Such semantical games are beside the point.
