This saturday is the biggest featherweight (145lbs) fight in UFC history.

My boy Jose Aldo takes on Conor Mcgregor for the featherweight championship. Aldo has not lost in 10 YEARS (unheard of in MMA) Conor Mcgregor is on a 14 fight win streak with 13 finishes! wow. Conor has talked himself into the betting favorite ahead of their bout, however the line has leveled out the past 2 weeks, aldo still a slight underdog.

    Main Card (on Pay-Per-View)
    (c) Jose Aldo (25-1) vs. (ic) Conor McGregor (18-2)*
    (c) Chris Weidman (13-0) vs. Luke Rockhold (14-2)*
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Yoel Romero
    Demian Maia vs. Gunnar Nelson
Max Holloway (14-3) vs. Jeremy Stephens (24-11)

    Prelims (on FOX Sports 1)
Urijah Faber (32-8) vs. Frankie Saenz (11-2)
    Tecia Torres (6-0) vs. Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger (6-1)
Warlley Alves (9-0) vs. Colby Covington (8-0)
Leonardo Santos (13-4-1) vs. Kevin Lee (11-1)

    *UFC featherweight championship unification bout
    *UFC middleweight championship bout

That "cocky little leprechaun" is one hell of a fighter. So is Aldo, I don't have a dog in this fight but it will be HIGHLY entertaining!

By the way(a little of topic but) does anyone have any idea who Fedor will be fighting on new years eve?, the latest rumour said it was a rematch and that fans would be impressed , the only fighter i can think of that fits that criteria is CroCop, , of course he is under contract with UFC and got busted for steroids but he had a legit excuse due to severe injury and old age sydrome, but when it comes to these Japanese dudes they dont give a fuck about USA laws and tend to just sign whoever the fuck they want,.

Got 10 bucks on the Irishman. Saw the last fight against Mendes (who was doing well, actually), and thought he was done for--took quite a few hits on the ground that probably should have KO'd him or at least set him up for a knockout, but his punching power is something else.

GSP - functionally retired, beaten into retirement
Fedor - ended his career on a slide, only back to fight cans for cash in Japan
Anderson - broken leg led to steroid bust
Aldo - pulled out on several occasions with phantom injuries, has a hard time making weight, future probably lies at 155

McGregor certainly has his flaws, but he's so deep in Aldo's head that they may not matter.

Aldo's best route to victory is to destroy McGregor's front leg. He does absolutely nothing to protect it and Aldo's leg kicks are vicious (remember the Faber fight). He can win if he stays disciplined, but I expect there to be some wild exchanges. My guess is someone eats a kick to the body and goes down in a flurry. I'll take McGregor to win.

Yeah, Mendes got sloppy. He could've done that for five rounds and we'd be talking about a totally different title fight right now. But it's so hard to stay disciplined for 25 minutes against a dynamic opponent.
