I think it's really a testament to the Ukrainian people and what they were fighting for to arrive so peacefully at the presidential palace. I don't know of any other revolution where the people have acted so righteously. They didn't start violence until provoked by now defunct presidential decrees to use live ammunition against protestors.

They are simply in awe of how wronged they were by a leader who said he would listen to the people. The people of Ukraine are the victors and they carry themselves in such a proud way that they laugh at the splendor and want to show the world the opulence of corruption.

"Hard to believe after all the violence how peaceful the people are at the house."

Theyre Caucasian, what were you expecting?

I suspect those people were more like tourists than protesters.

The actual "protesters" were funded by the U.S. and the E.U..

Glad to see the U.S. is so ready to provide financial aide to the new government in Ukraine.

Update: my offer of $1,277.50 for the Ukranian Presidential estate was accepted and I will be throwing out all of the tourists when I arrive next week.

As I said in another thread:
    But to elaborate on that...
Ukraine, in time of course, will become a huge buffer for the EU and Western allies such as NATO (which I'm sure America is dieing to draw up the forms for they're acceptance into NATO) from Russia and the Eastern Prosperity circle dominated by China (which the Americans are buffering with Japan and South Korea). It will become a state just like West Germany was during the cold war: Heavily supplied with Western military technology including anti-ballistic missile defenses and maybe even nukes due to Ukraine's history of being a great place for the Soviets to store ICBMS. Not to mention the amount of airfields and bases I'm sure America and the EU will pay top dollar to build inside of. If Ukraine submits to the Western Nations, they will be accepted into the EU, NATO, and provided with the same funding and defenses West Germany, Egypt, South Korea, Japan, and Turkey have all enjoyed for they're important Geo-political position.

Russia will be blockaded and may succumb to a financial crisis if they don't gain closer ties with China. If China finds itself in a position to bully Russia, I'm sure in due time Russia will submit to a soft NATO alliance or even with the EU.

This all depends of course on how the Ukrainian economy will take off. There is much interest in the Black Sea Shelf owned by Ukraine and which could produce oil and natural gases to rival even Russia's output.

There are also a few more sceanarios such as Russian boots on the ground or Pro-Russian areas of Ukraine that want to break away. This could turn into a dangerous situation. Russia knows if it loses Ukraine, it's sphere of influence will dramatically dwindle. That's why I predict a new Cold War with China and there's always the Middle-East question...

I hope anyone has any similar feedback to add and to what I've been ranting about (sorry politics and the changing of power in the world really interests me. I always like to think these are the first steps in how our world can change drastically)

If the Russians are neutered it'll be pretty hard to stop the momentum. We'll have the 'brave new world with a 1000 points of light' that Bush Sr. promised us on 9/11/91.

Hey Floyd, clear out your inbox. I thought your post was well thought out.

Apparently you people of European descent aren't familiar with your own collective history of enslavement, colonization and exploitation of other continents over the last few hundred years.

To hear you complimenting the civility of Ukrainians while referring to people of color as "savages" is beyond laughable, funnier than any photoshop or Gif EVER posted on this board. :snicker:
