    First you gotta get yourself a big 'ole slab of beef...this is a 3 1/2 lb boneless Chuck Roast. You could be a lazy ass and get the pre-cut beef cubes at the market, but that doesn't have the fat that you absolutely NEED for a kick-ass stew. Don't be a lazy ass. :no:

    Get your knife nice and sharp and cut that cow into cubes. Don't feel bad if you don't have a fancy lad ginsu knife or imported bamboo/bubinga non-slip cutting board like @Bro...if it's sharp and it cuts good, wgas wgaf? Note the nice marbling of the meat. You can trim off any large chunks of fat, but make sure you leave some.

    While I was cutting up the beef, I had a large yellow onion and 3 big 'ole cloves of garlic chopped up and sauteing in my cookin' pot.
