Not many films these days really impress me. One of the few exceptions is kingdom of heaven.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0320661/

I think in part why it was underrated was, the version made for the movie theatre had quite a bit of content chopped from it.

So it was either overlooked or critics were very critical. The directors cut though, is a whole over thing. In fact some say it is a completely different film almost.

It is however more than 3 hours long, so set aside an afternoon to watch it. Mentioned it to several guys in the gym, and they both loved it, watched the whole thing.

Anyone else name an underrated movie?

dogs of war with christopher walker who plays a mercenary in the horn of africa
siege with denzel washington and annette bening......when i saw it i thought it was ridiculously farfetched. a few years later we had 9/11.

true confessions with robert de niro about the black dahlia murders and corruption in the LA diocese. beautifully acted and very dark and depressing.

aguirre, wrath of god with klause kinsky and directed by werner herzog. a masterpiece (IMO).

saw Lars von Trier's horror movie Antichrist a little while ago, it had almost mostly negative reviews on Rottentomatoes but it was pretty good.

I don't understand all the hate for The Tourist. It's not a great movie, but it is a good movie.

And in it, Jolie looks like a movie star from the Golden Age of Hollywood in almost every shot.

Spinal Tap and Windy City Heat are two of my under appreciated films

Both stand the test of comedic time

That was the first time I saw that.

    Interesting.

The idiot misspelled 'vegetables' in the title.
