She's been nursing her like the dogs an infant child. She's been hand feeding her and stuffing 4 pills down her throat twice a day.

Last week she looked to be better. Looked like she was putting weight on and was somewhat eating on her own.

She went to the vet Friday. Turns out she wasn't putting on weight, her stomach was full of fluid so they drained it. :favorite:

They still haven't given us a diagnosis but her blood levels are way off. They're thinking liver cancer but the only way to know is to do an ultrasound and they want like $800 for that. :nono:

That's so sad, shitty. Look into a mobile vet in your area. They will come to your home, and let her die at home around her people instead of making her go for that last car ride. :tears:

She's been peppy and is moving around fine. Better than 2 weeks ago.

We had our vet and a vet tech come to our house to put our dog down. $100 to avoid crying in public is a small price to pay.

Not exactly hospice. To put them down, when the time comes. We did it ten years ago, it was $500 at that time, but worth it. The vet laid on the floor with her, and talked quietly to her and pet her, before he did the deed. :tears:

My friends dad was a vet. He brought his "bag" and we let our cat go in our arms in the house when I was a kid.

Sad. But good to know all is being done. Did the same for my cat. We tried everything. Your wife's a trooper!

I gotta give her a ton of credit. She's been getting up at 530 to give her a pill to coat her stomach for her 630 medication
