AP Washington D.C. On Thursday, Dec. 10 the U.S. Congress participated in the first ever Congressional Simon Sez tournament on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. The hope was a fun, group activity could to bring the Congress together in an informal way to build cooperation and communication. The marathon session lasted through the night, with 5 congressmen and 1 Congresswoman still in contention for first prize, outgoing Senator Mary Landreiu's leather office chair. During the most recent mandatory 10 minute bathroom break one of the Senatorial finalists said, "That chair is so well broken in by Senator Landreiu's extensive sitting that the chair's leather is as soft as a baby". As captured in the above photo, taken yesterday at 7 PM, all remaining caucasian Congressional participants had been expunged from the game for their inability to perform the "funky chicken" for 1 continuous minute, as was required by the Simon Sez game leader.
