Lots of popular extensions had a pretty severe exploit. Noscript is included in the list. Ironic that an extension meant to protect you can open you to malicious executables. Time to find a new browser.

People bitch about Chrome's memory usage but it's because they isolate tabs for protection. Memory is cheap. I like to try and be safe.

BTW: what do you think about MS adding that bash shell to windows 10?

So what should I switch to?
I need something that is efficient in bookmarking and password transfers...
FF has always served me well.
Do I need to be shown the light?

I recommend chrome. Always have. Yes it's a memory hog but having free unused RAM does nothing for your system. You got it. Use it.

Can you recommend a good bookmark and password transfer program/addon?
I've yet to see anything do an even adequate job of doing this without wasting my time for minimum gain.

Chrome should do that automatically I believe. At least for bookmarks. For passwords I highly recommend lastpass. It's based on Trust No One security meaning everything is encrypted on your machine and nothing is ever sent online in the clear. I don't know if it will import from Firefox though. Let me dig a little.

Chrome, although it's a major resource hog. My laptop battery depletes notably faster when I use it.

Edge is shaping up to be great, too. When it'll get extension support, it might become my new favorite.

I've read good things about edge but I'm totally immersed in the Google system as everyone is sick of hearing about from me. It's the full fucking seamless package between everything I use and I'm all in. I know in 10 years when they sell out and fuck everyone over I'll be pissed but it's just too good to not use right now.

I get ya. I'm also way invested in their system, although I've partially moved to Microsoft's services now... They've been releasing some really good stuff lately. The latest Office is fantastic, and OneNote has become one of my favorite applications in the last year.

Give Edge a try. It's still a little bare bones now, but it does some really cool stuff that no other browsers do.

By the way, this might also be worthwhile to look into. New kid on the block... Specially made for power users.
