I hope a bear smells your flapjack tits and attacks you. That is all.

Rocky Mountains are beautiful. Drove the scenic byway with my wife, stayed in Estes Park and went to the continental divide. Absolutely love Colorado.

    Have fun.

Thanks tomtom. We're actually camping on the New Mexico side this year, as we only have a week - CO is a bit too far for such a short time frame.
Next time you go, take the back roads. That's where the fun is. :cheer: Although the mountains are always fun no matter what route you take.

I love me some Colorado and New Mexico, been several times, but I imagine riding a motorcycle up there would be the ultimate way to see it....

I have ridden to California from Illinois three times on the bike. Going through the mountains on the second and third time I had to calculate my route to stay at lower altitudes. Two problems arose, the bike rode rough as hell at higher altitudes, the air being thinner had to affect it.
Also, every time I get to higher altitudes I do get altitude sickness a bit. Feel a little nauseated and light headed. The first time on the bike I had to stop a couple of times because of this.

I never thought about the fuel/air mix changing, but I can see that. So I guess you didn't join the race up Pikes Peak....
