at least you have a beautiful home to come back to
That IS a nice place you've got, Lemmy. Looks like a lot of upkeep though. Got messicans to help with the grass & stables & stuff?
Be safe Lemmy! Loved the pictures!
I'm just being a crybaby and am not thrilled with current environment at work. I have my next vacation in six weeks to look forward too.
As far as the home/property upkeep.......just Mrs. Lemmy and I.
hang in there
6 weeks - still be summertime
i have two weeks vacation starting the first of july
I have mid-July, late August and mid-October left so it isn't so bad.
I just find being at home so much nicer than being at work.
i agree -
Lemmy back on the street.
waaaah.....I have a 5 acre property & log cabin and a cool job
Cool job? It used to be.
You get allot of vacations. Is this Howard? What type of work do you do?
4 weeks......been there 17 years. About average. Last place I worked I got 4 weeks after 12 years.
Are you a detective?
Nope. No pay difference for that here.
Do you get any kind of comp time? My dad used to get a lot of extra time off that wasn't vacation time and it was called comp time.
What kind of squad car do you have? Those Chargers they are driving now are super slick, so much better than the Impalas.
Did you leave the rental cabin in tip top shape?
Yes. We can accumulate comp time when we work holidays or get denied lunch time. We can then use that when we wish as long as staffing doesn't suffer. We also get 10 sick hours per month that we can accumulate indefinitely. I have about 1200 hrs.......it'll come in handy when my wife pushes me down the stairs.
We changed from Crown Vics to Chargers a few years ago. I usually have a Charger but it depends on what's available. The Chargers look great and run good but the suspensions seem to crumble at around 10k miles and, because they are Dodge products, I fully expect the transmissions to start falling out at around 30k miles. I guess the next wave if new cars will be Impalas but we'll see.
