eddie was shredding the guitar as well as ever.

diamond dave has a lost a step and bit of his voice but he still can sing the tunes well in his style and is a great showman..
alex is as strong as ever..

wolfie is a great fill in as a a bassist and back up singer..

I saw VH in DC last month and I must say, I thought kool and the gang put on a better show. I was kind of let down. There were some glitches and them being out of sync at times. And Dave pretty much talking through a lot of songs rather than singing. Eddie and the band sure tore it up though. Eddie is playing as good as ever. Saw them in 1983 and I think they were better this time...

Do they just ignore 1986 thru the 1990s with Hagar? :coffee:

    dave doesn't sing sammy songs

sammy has said in interviews that it is because dave can't hit the high notes in sammys songs, probably true

    That's a damn shame.

Old school Van Halen fans hate on the Hagar stuff but its great music and they were never more popular than when he was singing the songs and writing the lyrics.

I saw them twice in San Diego in 1986 and it was a great 2 nights of music.

    Anywho. :coffee:
