If you have a Verizon Unlimited data plan, you might want to upgrade your phone/service plan within the next month or so...especially if you're a dork that uses tons of data...that shit is gonna cost you $$$ very soon. That is all.

...boost mobile is real unlimited data. i see a lot of companies advertise unlimited up something like 2.5 gigs a month which is not unlimited at all. the contract phones and companies are losing customers at a rate that has them in a tizzy. i was with t mobile for 13 years and switched to boost for unlimited everything a month that in 6 months will be 40 bucks a month. they only offer 3g network but im ok with that. it wont be long before virgin mobile and boost phase out the unlimited offers so i have read. they are both owned by sprint.

btw if you have a smart phone i recommend an extended life battery. the one that came with my phone was 1600 milliamps and i got a 3700 milliamp battery replacement and i dont have to worry about not having power when i need it

I think so. If you upgrade before this new thing starts in a month or two, you still get the unlimited data (I'd do two years if I could), but I think they charge you this one-time $30 fee. If you wait till December, you'll need to go on a tiered plan, which will charge you per each Gig you go over on data.

It gets the best reception though. We're due for upgrades, but we'd like to get the iPhone 5.
When is that coming out already?

They've been fucking their customers for years, with hidden billing and service charges; wireless was the only really advantageous side of their businesses from a customer standpoint, but now this is going away as well.

EDIT: Pony's right about their coverage...best available.

...thats funny cause the guy i bought it from was in hong kong! swear to baby jesus. he mailed it to me from h.c. and i got it in about 8 business days. i shoped them on amazon, they wanted 90 bucks this one is the same, for a sprint phone even says sprint on it. i found the guy from a site called ecrater.

true tho these contract cell carriers are going to get more expensive because they have slowly been losing their customer base. i wish it would happen to cable companies next.

Did you throw it in a bag of rice for a few days? Kids soaked my iPad and that worked to raise it from the dead.

Sprint still has unlimited data and I never have a problem with reception and I travel all over the country. when I get into more rural areas on the weekends, my data will slow down, but who cares?! It's the weekend! Enjoy the outdoors fool!

They are all losing a lot of revenue from a large decrease in voice calls, so even if they are retaining their base, they're losing income.

What sucks is there is no decent competition. At&t sucks ass. You know how you get charged all those fees? Missouri audited those and found At&t charged more than they gave Missouri. At&t then charged Missouri customers a special fee on the next bill that went to Missouri to pay back what they underpaid the state. And the Government is fine with this I guess.
