Tech question. I want to put together some videos (Not porn you perverts). What is a good video editing software? I'm on Windows 10. Would like some control and effects for the audio track.

    Thanks!

    Bababooey to ya all.

I have used Sony Vegas and it was very good and easy to learn.

That looks to be pricey at $399.00
    Anything cheaper?
    Thanks

You can get premier on the Adobe creative cloud on a month by month basis. It is top notch, and is what I use to make a living!

I have Adobe After Effects but it is way more than what I need for causal editing. I picked up Corel VideoStudio and like it for the money.

I've used Vegas in the past, was happy with it....price was not an option (IYKWIM). Adobe has 1 that's ok...but not a fan. Then you get into Final Cut.

I bailed on FCP after 7, well actually I should say the company I worked for switched to premiere. I've never used FCP X but have heard both good and bad. I take it you are a fan?

I can't say I'm a fan of FC...never used it. It is prolific...especially Mac users & the odd movie studio. I don't want to get into a debate about OS's & product versions et al....I like Vegas over Premier. But everybody's mileage may vary....

Ahh ok. I misread ya, I thought you were a fan of FCP. Like I said I have buddies who LOVE it an buddies who don't. I used it from the get go and loved it. But when the switch to FCP X happened we switched to premier. Now, I love premier as much as I loved FCP! Though I do think Adobe is way to quick on the upgrades. In fact I haven't upgraded in a couple versions.

All good...as far as FCP, I don't imagine OP wants something that elaborate/expensive. I agree, Adobe is WAY too frequent. They tempted me, but I stuck with Vegas when I needed it. I hope the OP can find something suitable, either way....

If you don't choose Vegas, Premiere seems to be the only program that offers any support. It's a shame, the state of editing software. But Final Cut 7 is always a great last resort...so long as Apple keeps supporting it.

Video Conferencing Technology used in the production of the Howard Stern show was brought to you by IBM.

Agree with Adobe Premier/Creative Cloud. Nice to move around between programs like photoshop and after effects to tweak graphics too.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm just doing some training films for work. So nothing major or very professional.

The cloud option might be good. I can turn it on when I need it and off when I don't, which will be most of the time.

Premiere Elements is cheap (under $100), and once you learn that, you can eventually move up to full Premiere CC. A ton of people use it. Mac & Windows.
