This is bizarre. I haven't listened to the show in years, but this came across my Twitter feed. Why do a visual bit on a show that no longer has a dedicated TV element? Not to mention, just from these brief flashes, it looks completely unfunny. Did Howard push traffic to the website like he used to do with Howard TV when something visual was going on?

The show went from billy west and the Jackie puppet to JD with a hand puppet of a lump.

Also: Nice try attempting to salvage this total bomb of a bit by promoting it as a hilarious JD fail.

I like when Stern told JD to use his "dominant hand" when using the puppet. If you remember, Stern was seriously considering a career in puppetry (his goal was to work for Sesame Street if you diehards remember!) When 99% of fathers were playing catch or showing their sons how to hit a baseball, Ben Stern was yelling at a young Howard to "use his dominant hand" while using a puppet! Fucking nerd!

Exactly. Same deal with the lame J-Dini bits. Stupid, poorly written Benji material, that Howard blames on JD when it sucks.

Howard complained yesterday that he's sick of working with no budget. If he only had money, he could afford lights for the studio, a better quality sock for puppets, and writers who aren't contest winners. If only someone hadn't kept all that production budget to himself ...

(We're looking at you, wig face.)
