    When Marla Maples accepted Donald Trump's proposal in 1991, she also accepted a stunning 7.5-carat diamond ring.
    Reports at the time said that Trump paid about $250,000. He bought the ring even though he apparently had a strict budget
    set by creditors. Maples married Trump in 1993 at the Plaza Hotel with celebrities attending including Rosie O'Donnell, Howard Stern
    and O.J. Simpson. Simpson said back then: "If everybody in the country believes maybe their relationship can work if this relationship can work."
