Is anyone else watching this show? I just finished the 3rd Season on Hulu and I'm thoroughly impressed. I like to think of it as what Christopher Nolan's take on "Game of Thrones" would be. The Producers do a great job of grounding the story in reality (as much as they can) while still allowing for the fantastical mysticism, that both the Pagans and Christians of that era believed in, to enter into the story. The series begins centering on a farmer/warrior named Ragnar Lothbrok who becomes the first Viking to propose sailing West for the Horde's annual spring raid, an idea that many think is impossible. For those who aren't familiar, the show does focus on the Vikings in Scandinavia at first, however as the show continues the narrative spreads with the marauding Viking Horde to England and France, and we meet colorful characters along the way. There are many impressive battle scenes, especially in the Third season. Hats off to History Channel for producing an incredible original series that actually holds up to it's competition on premium cable, much like the Vikings. The Fourth season starts in February.
