Proponents of a ballot initiative aimed at splitting California into six states (or, more simply, one proponent: venture capitalist Tim Draper) may have collected enough signatures to put the initiative on the ballot in November. This is the beauty and the annoyance of California's initiative and referenda system. If you have enough cash, getting something on the ballot is relatively trivial, meaning that relatively trivial ideas -- like splitting California into six different states -- can be put up for a vote. (Happily, in this instance the federal government would have to sign off on the idea, which it will never do, because, come on.) http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...-into-6-states-heres-what-it-might-look-like/ Buncha crazy fuckers over there in California.
I'm going to invest all my money in American flag making companies. If this happens every flag will need to be replaced!
I really hope they aren't aerious about naming my state Silicon Valley. What a dumb faggit ass name for a state. Might as well name it Jobsland or Zuckerbergville.
Even if the referendum passed the federal government would shoot that thing down quick. The good ol boys wouldn't want 12 senators from this place.
This is a must ...its time for the non-tax paying, life-long leaches of the system to start paying "their fair share"
