Against probably the 2nd best team in the NBA this season, the San Antonio Spurs.

Do you think they will do it? Or will Kerr rest his guys and will they fall short?

I say go for it and make NBA history.

They'll do it. Popovich will try to fuck NBA-TV as well as fans and just sit his starters, so he has a built in excuse to lose.

That Bryan Adams meets Ben Kenobi face claims to not care about regular season accolades and KUDOS (@JessOnCrack ) but I don't buy it. Spurs could preserve a perfect home record.

I'm a just hanging on by a thread Grizzlies fan - and I just have no idea with that decimated roster they had any business being in that game with GS.

But I just had that feeling you get with GS that they'll find a way to win - no matter what the lead now.

The NBA INDEED wants Steph Curry (their new poster child) in AS good a position as possible. But GS get advantages from NBA is a VERY new thing. LAL had it for DECADES, as did CHI & BOS.

    omg look at that dissertation
you think you're all manly with your top secrets acronyms LAL CHI BOS
what do you know about Genoa City and Victor Newman? you only have 30 years of (check out this acronym) Y&R to catch up on
    hop on it PAL
    thats P.A.L.
instead of rushing out to look at sports magazines at some half run down convenience store on Long Island when you were a kid you SHOULD have been following the Newman/Abbott feud

Spurs are going for the first undefeated home schedule ever, right? It's not like they have nothing to play for.

If Lex Popovich tightens GS rims and turns up the heat in their locker room at halftime - they most certainly will!! Hahhahhahah

Popovich will down play that but deep down he cares. As @TallTyrion said - Pop has gotten a lil too schticky cute for the game now and views it all as beneath him.

he is getting near the end of his career, as are duncan, parker, ginobli. they have the 3-5 titles whatever it is, i think they want this undefeated at home thing as well as stopping the warriors run to the regular season record.

edit: but yeah, he has no problem resting everybody and anybody at anytime. no fucks given.

I would THINK he'd WANT the 41-0 record - I certainly would. It's more exclusive and rare than an NBA title.

Why would he overwork his best players? They're set as the #2 seed. They have nothing to gain or lose from this game - except for the consecutive home winning streak.

Except history, better than a title in my book now - SA has those already. Basketball is FUN - it's not "work". Don't believe this generation "rest" bullshit narrative - as perpetuated by Popovich. Who is anti-fan and league.

FUCK HIM, I hope they lose in the 1st round again.

Maybe it's because I'm only a casual fan of basketball that I don't care.
I was rooting for the Panthers to try for 16-0 last season, even when they had everything wrapped up.
