Don't get me wrong, I fucking love it mang.
This is why you fail.
it's pretty bad and there's some odd casting (Robert Loggia, F. Murray Abraham). I still like it because I like DePalma. Body Double is great.
A 10? No. Probably an 8.
When are you gonna start a good thread?
When he calls the flamingos "pelican", I lose it.
i'd rather watch Blow
Body Double is a shitfest. I thought the same based on my memories of it. Does not hold up at all. Blow Out still holds up though IMO.
A coked out Michelle Pfeiffer.
To long and it was edited like shit. Good to watch once but not one of those movies I'll stop and watch if it's on cable.
It works as a B-movie and there are some problems with it, but the Giorgio Moroder score, Pacino's performance, the excess of it all, and the humour in the script save the day.
"You stupid fuck!!! You see what you made me do?"
Great movie, especially for it's time. It was one of the first that was over the top with violence and language. It's raw gritty feel made it seem like you were living it. The chainsaw scene was the kind of terrifying action usually reserved for the final scenes, yet it more or less launched the story.
Brian DePalma's movies are generally all way over the top and dopey. "Scarface" is more famous for its quotable moments and violence than it is some kind of stand-alone work of art. It's a dude movie, mang.
"Her womb is so poe-lluted..."
