It's a safe bet that Howard will flip his wig over this. But will it enrage him so much he won't even bring it up on the air?

what this doesn't address is the decline of the show and loss of listeners during the time he has been on satellite.

Although her comment nicely captures what most of here have been saying about Stern's relevancy since he started lobbying for reality show judging gigs a couple of years ago I doubt she has any access to that type of information and she does say "Sateillite TV" instead of radio.
Sounds like she's just making some accurate general observations (I like her somewhat dismissive tone of Stern). Howchie can't dismiss the Washington Post as a backwater rag though, he'll know about this soon enough. JD probably already got an alert.

He doesn't have the balls to be a Simon Cowell (sp? don't care to look it up) type prick on that NBC show, I hope all it does for him is take wig speculation to a genuine national audience.

By the time Howards gets back on the radio after a week off this will be old news. His "flexible" schedule is one of the things that's helped make him irrelevant. If he mentions it at all, Howard will do what he always does - insult the author's job, qualifications, and appearance and claim being a judge on AGT means he's relevant. Apparently he thinks we've forgotten David Hasselhoff was a judge on AGT too.

Fuck, I was hoping that Howard had literally fallen of a cliff. I hate being a simple bastard with such low expectations.

The outside world simply doesn't know about it. All they know of Howard is what was in the past. Even current celebrities have no clue and are still afraid to come on the show. That's what happens when you fall off the face of the earth. When he left FM radio, he lost at least 90% of his audience. And as the years on Sirius passed, that number increased. Does anyone know of anyone who became a fan of Howard during the Sirius years? Seems to me his fan base is a bunch of us over 40 people who were fans in the 90's. Considering how many free subscriptions are out there due to new cars having satellite, one might expect his audience to expand. Apparently, the opposite holds true.

If Howard couldn't keep the E! show, he should have found another network or cable channel to air his show. Even after the move to Sirius, he could have still been relevant if he had exposure on tv.
