Has the world gone mad, or are we giving too much thought into a few people's fake outrage? First, Al Trautwig stated Simone Bile's grandparents weren't her parents and he's taking heat from those constantly outraged. I don't get how he's hurting someone's feelings by pointing out the truth. I'd maybe feel differently if he focused on adoptive parents that were not related to her. How common is it for grandparents to care for their children's children? And then another NBC commentator makes a comment crediting Katinka Hosszu's coach for her win and people go nuts over that.
If you criticize Al Trautwig online, he may call your parents to complain. Seriously. http://deadspin.com/if-you-insult-al-trautwig-on-twitter-hell-call-your-m-1464105302
Thanks, it's been a tough few weeks for me personally and your kind words brought a little bit of sunshine to my current dark days. Much appreciated.
NBC is just trying to build a compelling story about Simone who may be the best female gymnast of all time. The real problem is nobody is watching the Olympics so you need fake outrage to generate a buzz.
