Tonight! Actor/Comedian Christian Finnegan and from Fox Sports 1′s “Crowd Goes Wild†Michael Kosta.

Will Finnegan tell the story about when he said he hated the Patriots on stage for a 3rd time on the show?

Not that I miss him, but they haven't booked Casey Stern in a while.

Is that the story where he says "blaggot" over and over? I remember him telling that heckler story twice on the show before.

Was the last time Casey Stern was on was when they spent 2 hours on Clara Rivera? That sentence had too many "was"es in there.

Why does Artie sound so happy about the Red Sox winning?

Also, they need to give up the sports angle of the show if neither host knows who Jacoby Ellsbury is.

Wow, Tom Green and Craig Kilborn are guest hosting while Art is in LA next week promoting the book.

    The End is Nigh.

Art is about to get fired.

ALS will end, Boccheteeth will kill himself, Ritchie will slink back to ESPN, Falato will go back to blowing guys in the steam room at Equinox, Shane will start blowing guys in the steam room at Equinox, the individuals will start blowing guys at 30 Rock and James will continue to be a fine and upstanding gentleman.

What a bad sales pitch for Dollar Shave Club: "Avoid all of those sick people at the drug store"

All of those lepers and TB patients in the razor aisle.

There's a reason Kilborn gets replaced for every show he hosts with the real host.

Tom Green: Kooky comedian persona with a broadcasting background
Kilborn: The embodiment of the straight man in a comedy duo if there ever was one, quasi-background in sports, broadcasting background

This is another on-air chemistry test. Will they still keep the ruse of calling it the Artie Lange Show?

Fuck, I can see them trying something like that. Especially after hearing the exchange between Artie and that Kosta guy after he made the joke about the twins.

Sad to see Artie go in to damage control mode when Kosta makes a joke about kissing the twins. The terrorists have won.

I heard Artie say he's not going on Howard's show, but has Howard plugged Artie's book at all?

That is odd. Artie has only one book signing on Monday and could easily be back for his show for the rest of the week. Also, they are giving dumb dumb Ritchie off too? This could be a test for a new line up. I hate to say it, but Tom Green and Kilborn would be a better show then what they have been producing lately. I hope they do cancel the show so Artie can do his own thing, maybe a podcast.

Wow that was the pussiest thing I've ever heard. He's not allowed to make a KISSING joke about the twins???
Artie sounded so disgusted having to tell the guy to not joke like that. DirecTV is unreal. If i wasn't so lazy and didn't have Sunday Ticket, I'd briefly consider canceling my service with them.

Art said he is doing 3 or so late night shows out in LA to promote the book (Conan for sure [scheduled as first guest for November 5th], most likely Kimmel and maybe Craig Ferguson). I think he also said he was doing Marc Maron's podcast?

He is also probably going to do a shitload of morning radio in LA for the book as well.

Art brought up before that the twins complained to management about how they were referenced on-air. Geno Bisconte said much worse stuff about the twins on multiple occasions. I doubt the twins would have found the kissing joke offensive, but Art wanted to make a joke out of it. I mean, the girls had to have listened to the show before calling in, so they knew what type of humor it was going to be when they joined. If I was Kosta, I would have not stopped making jokes about the twins at that point. Then he could just say he was doing his arrogant comedian persona.

I think both the co hosts next week and the twins thing is a sign the show in almost done. At this point Direct Tv wants to avoid a major lawsuit brought on by disgruntled workers(twins). Fuck those stupid hoes.

What the fuck happened to this show? Kosta was right, if this is the kind of show they wanted to do all along, why hire Artie (and Nick)? Get some vanilla comic in there to host the show. Artie likes the money, so I bet he doesn't mind it too much, but it must befrustrating as hell to have to watch what you say constantly.

    What's "Wow!" about this?!?

And why is this a signal that the end is nigh?!?

I kind of see it the other way; this ridiculous, atrocious pairing basically proves Artie's job is safe as kittens.

There is no way this is a "chemistry test". Even a suit wouldn't think Kilborn and Green..................even though it does have a ring to it.....................could ever work together in any kind of real, lasting way.

There's a reason these guys...................and all the other fill-in hosts they've gotten over the months....................are so available.

But who could they have gotten to co-host next week that would have been un-"Wow!", and a signal that the end wasn't nigh?!?

Is it just because they're having co-hosts and not running "best of"s that you feel this way?!?

    :uscratch:

They're into Artie for 500K for the last year of his contract, and Ritchie's probably good for roughly 100K per year. So it would cost DirecTV upwards of 600K just to clean the slate.

Then they'd have to pay the new talent on top of that.

The smart business move is to at least let Artie play out the string. It's not like they've got a blue-chip broadcaster waiting in the wings; everybody who would be an acceptable alternative already has a gig......................or is way too edgy for the gig.

And does anybody actually know the ALS is in trouble?!?

Kilborn was never on the show, if I recall correctly. Art has never talked about Kilborn, ever. So that most likely means someone besides the booker (an exec.) wanted to unleash him on the public, like a relief pitcher in the bullpen waiting to get sent to the mound.

It isn't a "ridiculous" pairing as I said above about them both having a history in broadcasting on TV (both are TV specialists) as well as radio/podcast work. Both are disciplined enough to break on time and keep the show focused on sports. Both won't burp on air, check their phones and ipads on air, eat on air (and think this is riveting radio/tv). Both will actually prepare for shows. DirecTV HAS to get more use out of that expensive studio, which I think is leased out until 2014.

Hosts that wouldn't strike me as a sign ALS is going to end soon would be people they had on before: either to co-host or host alongside Ritchie. People like Stover, Brian Jones, Mannix and others who co-hosted/hosted the show previously. Hell even CQ co-hosted one time and did a good job. Ritchie has taken over hosting duties with a guest co-host when Art misses shows, and although most people dislike him, he IS a football talk specialist. Now that baseball is over, football is the only game worth talking about until after the superbowl. Cutting Ritchie out of this show when he is technically the co-host is also a sign something is awry. This doesn't strike you as odd?

As much as I don't like the idea of a show featuring Kilborn and Tom Green (or Kilborn and anyone else, for that matter), that show can probably draw in a bigger terrestrial crowd and more markets. Late night sports/entertainment talk is a market currently cornered on TV by Keith "The Jerk-Off" Olbermann on ESPN and re-runs of Sportscenter and on radio by Scott Ferrall at CBS and Steve Somers on WFAN.

I F'in knew those plain jane twats went to management, god I know Falato and him are kicking themselves for opting to hire them, Mike should get heir combined salaries and get Shane and possibly some interns to handle their inane duties. They sold themselves as being proactive and going out and getting interviews for the show and all of this other BS, I think it was around this time last year where Artie had that EPIC meltdown and went on an awesome diatribe against one of them when they gave him shit for them not doing their jobs. God they suck, they are not even on Twitter really and claim they just love social media, but its all private shit so the fans can't interact with them at all - just goes to show you they could give two shits about Artie, the show, and his fans. Thus concludes another jgard innocuous rant
