Howard is one of those fake "I love everybody" liberals now. So it's relevant...

Well the economy had been tanking since 07 so demand for those programs went up. Lots of people, some probably on here, used those programs to make it through lean times. No crime in that, we all pay taxes so there'd be a safety net when we need it.
BTW house hold net worth rose 17 percent from the end of 2008. Although most of the worth was in a few hands. The stock market has also doubled.

You have to weave Howard into your thread title if you don't want your thread banished to the politics forum.

The biggest factor in the deficit increase is the economy tanking, number one reason. We ran deficits all through Bush's two terms. The wars weren't even on the books. Why do people all of a sudden give a shit now?

Teabaggers are a fickle bunch, happy with government spending when its Bush doing it and their family in the trailer park is getting it, but quite mad when a black guy is doing it and they think its going to black people

Corporate America fucks the US people with outsourcing. Income inequality is on the rise. What did you expect?

I guess when Romnoid become President, and the economy turns around early next year, it will be all because of him...

Anyone else love how Romnoid said the would put the tax rate on the top 5% at 60%, but he pays less than 14%?
Or How he said he will create jobs, and then ended the debate saying, "govt doesnt create jobs, govt doesnt create jobs"

OR how he thinks automatic weapons should be banned (even though they are not)?

I live in Ohio, i havent seen the NRA commercial for Romnoid/VP McDreamy since.... not sure if they pulled it, or i just havent seen it...

...outsourcing you say? like the factory jobs in freeport illinois that bain is right now in the process of moving to china. 1,200 employees let go from 7 dollar an hour jobs headed for a worker that will do it for 99 cents an hour. mitts concerned tho he said so in the last debate.

exactly, they want their section 8 vouchers, food stamps, and other assorted gibs me dats.
there is nothing wrong with helping people get back on their feet after losing their jobs but there is an underclass that continues to grow as the % of people actually working falls... and that's unsustainable. the federal gov't has no business getting involved with programs that are better left to the states. it also makes these programs more costly when the federal gov't collects the taxes first.
