They both kinda suck.
I respectfully disagree with you.
I just threw on Strange Days tonight and i'm digging the hell out of it. I wasn't born when any of this stuff came out but I sure heard a shit load of it from my parents, so it still really gets me nostalgic. Strange Days came out in '67.....the same year as Sgt. Pepper's, which is undeniably a cool album but I like the songs on Strange Days more. Morrison was a bit of a goofball but I think The Doors don't get quite enough credit. they were really unique and spooky.
Never a fan of either.
well what do you guys listen to that's so cool?
A bit of a goofball? He was a pretentious, drunken jackass. You should read some of his poetry.
The Doors have some good songs. The first album is killer, but they had a while to work on it. Afterwards they were basically creating in the studio and it just got so contrived and shitty. There's good songs scattered in all the albums but, as a whole, their body of work just sort of sucks.
I really do hate the Beatles though.
I don't mind either band
don't go outta my way to listen to either though
but I always have liked the crystal ship quite a bit
so i'll say the doors are better
The Beatles were girly band for young teenage girls and with the exception of 1or2 songs they played mediocre pop junk.
You guys are the dumbest fucks
The Beatles had the opportunity to grow, change their sound and get better through the years. First starting out as a bubblegum hits band, they evolving into a psychedelic mind twisting band through their guru and drug years. Then ending finally with some mature music before calling it quits.
The Doors on the other hand, exploded on the scene with their drug/alcohol influenced songs and just burned bright for those few years. They never really had the chance to evolve into anything different, we only got to hear one style and sound.
loved the doors, loved the beatles, depends on my mood which one i listen to.
Beatles were the real deal. Just ask Ed Sullivan.
I laugh that it's now in vouge to say The Beatles weren't.talanted or sucked. If you know anything about music their chord changes we're incredible and I have had classically trained musicians tell me that. Doors are good, but I got over them once.I.got out.of.my teens.
I'm a big Doors fan.
But the answer is no.
the doors better than the beatles? HA HA FUCK NO
Like both quite a bit, but the Doors kinda got trapped in one sound. Sorry, but Lennon (Day in the Life, I am the Walrus, Across the Universe) really did do things that no-one else had ever done; and the studio recording techniques alone make the Beatles way ahead of the game.
Go back to your Bieber!
This. I could listen to Abbey Road, or Strange Days all day long.
