niel young on classic vinyl...cinnomin gurl....aint he canadeen???
Beach Boys Endless Summer
I dislike them and I have what I think is a good reason why.
Yes he is. American fail.
I'm not listening to music but if I was and I was doing an American theme, I'd listen to "Nebraska" by Bruce Springsteen, "Los Angeles/Wild Gift" by X, and some various stuff from Carl Perkins and Buddy Holly.
Way to pique my curiosity and then leave me hanging...very nicely done
I haven't checked it out yet, but Neil Young's latest album is called "Americana", and he covers old American pop/folk songs...REAL old... Since it's with Crazy Horse, I expect to like it a lot.
Oh shit...I just looked it up and it sounds like it might be badass... I'll probably download it tonight.
Right now I'm listening to my Reggae station on Pandora.
They reviewed this on Sound Opinions last week. They play songs you were singing as a kid in a way only Neil and Crazy Horse can play them.
Basically my problem with them is that they will make a good hook or a good bassline then they will ruin it by adding a part to the song that is less than favorable, or they'll run that particularly good part into the ground with repetition. Most music connoisseurs think that Violent Femmes are a great band when they are in fact middle-of-the-road at best.
I have an awesome Rocksteady/Roots Reggae/1st Wave Ska Station on my Pandora!
I love me some cheeseburgers. They probably don't have them at NOBU or Le Meurice, but I love those fuckers anyway... I'm white trash.
Hardly a comparison. Violent Femmes is considered to be an art band, so it would be like taking that Nobu and serving it to you in the dirt under some baseball bleachers.
Ted Nugent is a cheeseburger.
