You had the cover art, sometimes the lyrics inside, the songs were arranged in a certain order you had to adhere to, you had to be careful not to scratch the record and keep it stored. They weren't only a source of music, but they were collectibles. My favorites: "Pet Sounds- the Beach Boys. "Murmur"- REM. "Moondance"- Van Morrison. "Rubber Soul" - the Beatles. "Tim"- the Replacements. "The Lonesome Jubilee"- John Mellencamp. "Quadrophenia"- The Who. "Will the Wolf Survive?"- Los Lobos. Albums were more fun. I like having 12,000 songs on my laptop, but I miss albums.
