Nelson Demille is my favorite author - very dry sense of humor

Book one was a bit of a slog to get through, but afterwards they're pretty consistently good, latest one was one of the best of recent vintage

I just started "Elminster's Daughter" - 5th book in the Elminster series. If you really want a good series, read R.A. Salvatore's series about Drizzt.

You don't know what you're missing. It's 34 books so far though. Quite a commitment.

:jj: I'm reading the whole series of paperbacks based on Star Trek Deep Space Nine. I just finished #25. I have a feeling that won't help your problem.

Here is what you should read for the airport: "Ford County Stories" by John Grisham. Trust me.

I'm thinking there is a reference or two to some earlier books in that one. It won't stop him from enjoying it but it's always cool to recognize that kind of stuff.

I just finished 'Blood Meridian' by Cormac McCarthy...highly recommend it.

Just started 'Confederacy of Dunces' for like the seventh time. My favorite book, and haven't read it in a couple of years.

Of course I always recommend something from the good doctor, HST.
