For better or worse some of us have based our impressions of other celebrities in part upon what Howard Stern has said about them. Now that Howard has turned into such an unfunny flipflopping bore, I am left somewhat adrift about a few celebrities. Jay Leno -- thought he lost the funny about the time he got the Tonight Show, BUT actual antipathy toward him was based entirely on Howard's ranting. In retrospect, hiring Stuttering John was a non-event and good for everyone. Jay never really did anything bad except possibly the screwing over of his manager, Letterman, and Conan. Now I don't think I care about Leno at all, but I would no longer actively avoid his show. Chevy Chase -- a relatively recent flipflop, I had been towing the Stern line about Chase being an unfunny hack. I think I'll choose to stick with that, even as Howard has befriended and praised the the unfunny hack. (I did find him serviceable, if unsightly, in that superhero movie with Tim Allen.) Rosie O'Donnell -- oh I just don't care. What about you? Any people you're viewing with fresh eyes now that the cult of howard veil has lifted from your eyes?
