2/21/12 - I believe this was the first live show after Howie's aaaamazing ostrosky weekend video surfaced. Naturally he didn't address it like the old woman he's become <save whatever legal actions taken to eliminate it>.

This site is terrific and filled with the kind of cutting humor old man howie used to display. He embraced everything he used to mock, and it disgusts me. If I actually knew anyone who watched AGT I would PAY them not to listen just to insure his downfall is complete.

I give props to all of you hangin in there to put him in his place, but the show honestly put me in a nasty mood with each passing minute. I cannot recall the last time he, nor anything mentioned on the show actually gave me a laugh.

Signed, long time listener (since 81/82 whenever he started wnbc afternoons). Sigh.

March '10. I realized that they weren't going to fill the chair, and I was wasting my time thinking that the show would change. I still listen to older stuff however

I still listen. But I don't make time in my day for it like I used to. If I hear it I hear it, if not, oh well. I used to download and not miss one minute for fear of missing something epic. And that's back when there were 20+ hours a week of the show.

Sometime around last October, when I realized how ridiculous it was to rely on Marksfriggin' to find 20 minutes of show worth listening to from each day. Wasn't really a matter of hatred but rather being sick of the tedium and lack of humor, there are so many other choices out there where I can just hit play and let a show run its length.

Honestly a couple of weeks ago. The show is just not interesting anymore. I would give anything to hear 1997-2000 Howard uncensored.

I started to wind down the last year Artie was on -- I found his saga extremely tiresome and as he checked out more and more, we were getting more and more of what the show has now become -- I stopped listening almost entirely when I found Netflix streaming and the Carolla app came out -- it's just too easy to find something better

I listen, but not the rabid I have to hear every word listen. More like the "back round chatter" listen.

I stopped listening daily the last year or so of Artie, it was just too awkward listening to him self-destruct and Howard evilly encouraging it by making bits out of it and defensively saying (obviously lying) he didn't think Artie was on drugs.

But after Artie left I stopped listening entirely within about a month, except to old shows from 2001 to 2008. It's shocking how quickly the show became terrible without even a high Artie there to infuse some humor. It makes you realize just how talentless Howard, Robin and Fred were all along, and how much Jackie and Artie were the ones carrying the show the whole time.

Ironically, the only reason I started at SFN was because I was dissatisfied with the show -- when Howard bitched about the complaining over there, I sought out like-minded individuals over there -- if he had never mentioned it, I wouldn't have even known or cared it existed

3 years ago, right after Artie left. Didn't quit listening because I was a huge Artie fan - just because the show got SO fucking boring and repetitive without SOMETHING to shake it up. The Artie drug stuff and napping got lame - but after that it was over for the show. Howard started fully mailing it in after. Couldn't justify giving that prick any more of my money.

I like the old show, hate the current show - and need somewhere to express my anger for Howard becoming a sellout and EPIC hypocrite - and selling out all of us fans. Howard killed the best radio show ever.

I listen lately through threads, occasionally dl for a segment or two. The last time I've heard a complete show was early October.

Even though the current show sucks, the people involved are still interesting to read and talk about in a train wreck sort of way, and I doubt I'm the only one who still listens to old shows regularly.

I have every Mammary Lane, Stern Spotlight, and countless old clips and shows. I've worn them all out, but still listen from time to time. Jeff the Drunk Stuck On You, the Vegas shows, on and on and on

When Artie left, the funny left. Still listen to Nick and Artie, and the occasional Mark Maron and Adam Carolla podcast. Stern=Imus.
