I'm thinking that I'd have more interest if it hadn't been a 24/7 infomercial about the show. His overexposure definitely set high expectations to live up to.

Imho, he should've just talked about it casually; not sacrifice his radio career (which is essentially what he did) for yet another failed venture.

I think that the way Howard pushed agt is the same way he pushes all those "tons of things we need to get to today, robin" and those days that are "very exciting and very busy"... Only that sort of shit may work in radio, but in television, you actually need to deliver.

He should have come out of the closet first. Then all this pussified horseshit would be understandable.

I think a lot of his fans just don't care about these crappy talent shows, period. I know I don't!

Only one I really used to enjoy was the "Gong Show" hosted by Chuck Barris in the 1970s, and that thing made a mockery
of the whole genre, on purpose! It was nutty and a lot of fun....didn't take itself very seriously, at all (unlike today's shows).

What did Howard do wrong with AGT?

He thinks he can go from a show where AGT meant Americas Got Tits to a show where AGT means Americas Got Talent and keep his edgy audience from his old show and develop a new audience of middle aged women for his new show.

Sorry Howard your old audience hates you and the middle aged women? They still hate you. Good job, asshole.

He made it either/or. He gave NO thought to his long term fans. If Wiggy has evolved, gooo for Wiggy. Piss on me! Piss in the wind motherfucker.

You could be the second coming and that's still a boring idea for a show. Novelty acts? That's old people shit. Old people barely know who he is and what they know they dislike. Even if he "wins them over" the past history of outrageous stuff they wont' like will be bound to come out.

He would have done better to have started his own gong show, where they could recapture the mockery of the original instead of pretending he cares about lame acts bound for vegas' older sadder casinos.

Exactly. I don't watch AGT, DWTS, American Idol, etc. I think most of Howard's listeners have no interest.. and it shows how greedy he is that he would destroy his show for it. Grrrrr:shit:
