Did Howard kill it? I haven't heard on it the air in a long time.
Ralph is too busy giving Anal to Howard
Although I am not a Ralph fan I will admit that I liked listening to Geektime.
It's on hiatus
The website hasn't been updated in a long time.
It's a good site if you want to reminisce about what the internet was like in 1997.
I liked geektime
It got more entertaining and had bigger guests than THSS. Then Howard killed the great guests and it was just Ralph and Chris Gore for a while. Which sucked ass.
Same with Back Office Radio. Most of the bits on THSS are infighting between people that work on the show. Back Office Radio was radio gold in this case. It was all infighting. So it was killed. Now we get to listen to the same fucking interviews 8 times a day on repeat instead of new content.
This side shows got more entertaining than THSS. So of course Howard couldn't let that stand. The easiest thing was to just kill them.
I think that Geektime will be a once a year type thing now, only running when they're doing their coverage from San Diego Comic Con. Unless Howard doesn't do AGT next year...then Ralph may have the free time to work on the show.
I think Ralph said that they were taking a few months off, but they are working on something special for its return. Sorta like when Jon, Jason, and Steve Brandano were going to take a few week break from the show to work on a special projects for Howard. That was about two years ago.
I hate to say it, but Ralph was pretty good on that show. He knew the right questions to ask and how to move the show along so it wasn't boring.
I haven't listened to the show in a long time, but from what I can gather there isn't any other programs on his channels, so much for 2 channels full of great shows! I think Riley might still be on! man how the mighty have fallen, I wonder if Howard is embarrassed about how this has all turned out, or is he laughing all the way to the bank like Kobe Bryant is?
BTW, I liked Geektime more than I liked the Howard Stern Show. At least before it became a solo show for Ralph who was horrible as an one man show with some peon sidekick.
Ralph > Howard
New content on the channels is frowned upon. Imagine if there were 3 channels like originally planned ?
Geektime was my favorite Stern spin-off show when it had John Hein, Jason, etc. in addition to Ralph. It became unlistenable when Ralph became the sole host.
Ralph sucked when it became his own show. When he was part of the group with Jon, Jason, and Steve; he wasn't bad.
He's gotta get sex from somewhere. He damned sure ain't getting it from Beth.
At one time, they had some pretty good stuff on 101. Even if you didn't care for one of the programs, it was nice to at least have fresh and live content. Bubba, Ferrel, Back Office Radio, The Intern show, etc. On that note, The one show I hated when it was on and then missed it when it was taken off was the Friday show. Let's face it..ever since he lost the lawsuit he pulled everything he could. Fucking asshole.
