Zimbabwe, once the breadbasket of Africa is now a shell of its former self. Agriculture exports have been replaced by foreign aid. White farmers kicked of their land and those who replaced them don't really know what they're doing. Are the answers politically incorrect and won't be able to be discussed in public? "Driving around Zimbabwe today, it’s hard to miss the acres of farmland lying fallow. In 1997, the country’s economy was among the strongest on the continent. This year, its growth rate is predicted to be 1.5 percent, according to the government, lower than that of any of its neighbors. Between 2000 and 2009, agricultural revenue declined by $12 billion, according to the commercial farmers’ union. The nation, once called “the breadbasket of Africa,” relies on international aid to feed 25 percent of its population, according to the World Food Program. But in a country still plagued by racial tensions, turning to experienced white farmers is hardly a simple solution to economic woes. Every single country governed by blacks is a complete failure. even banana republics run by central and south americans are dozens of times more prosperous then any black run country. They can turn gold into lead in no time.
There was a 60 Minutes story on this years ago that was really disturbing. "Kicked off their land" is an understatement. Many white farmers were tortured and killed by Mugabe's goons for refusing to leave farms that had been in their families for decades.

Recently, the kid working the register at the gas station I was at showed me a Zimbabwe currency note he got off some website. It was real. It was like a million dollar bill or some shit, that was actually worth pennies or something. I got a real kick out of it too ... so did the kid. He was like "Hey, you want to see a million dollar bill" or something like that ... it was funny as hell, really.
And you wonder why their govt lets a rich guy pay $50K to kill some fucking lion when a loaf of bread cost you about $1,500 Zimbabwe. Easy money.
It got a lot crazier than that: It was $35 quadrillion dollars to $5 U.S. when they finally killed it. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...ially-removes-local-currency-from-circulation
In nations where the currency explodes like this they have often switched to alternatives such as the US dollar or other currencies related to theirs by tradition and trade. What happens when there are no more functioning fiat currencies to switch to?
Million dollars? No, that would be totally worthless. The inflation got so bad they used stuff like this:
