If rumors of Robin's sickness are true and she gets worse and has to leave the show, does Howard re-up with new, fresh talent and fill Robin's (and the Artie/Jackie chair) with new personalities, or does he just go the John/Shuli/Sal/Richard route and watch the show deteriorate even more?

And I guess my bigger question is......... Is it possible for Howard to make a comeback? The show has been in a long and steady decline for as long as I remember. It appears like Howard isn't willing to take any more risks and is content on just collecting a paycheck and riding out the remainder of his contract. But although the show has changed, I think Howard is still very much the same man he was years/decades ago when the show was at its top. Can anything happen to reignite the flame and return the show to greatness again...... or should we just give up hope?

    - It would be one less reason not to listen, but not enough reason to start listening again.

Robin can (hopefully soon) die but the Cackle will transmit forever. It is known in ancient communities as The Cackle Curse

Crazy Alice can sit in Robin's booth and laughing gas pumped in.

Problem solved and no one even notices Robin's gone. Intern slips a printout of yahoo news under the door and its a wrap. I mean honestly how different would it really be.

That idiot Quivers dying or otherwise leaving the show would be the best thing to happen to it since the addition of Artie Lange.

Life has never been that generous, though. She'll be on that damn show (via an ISDN line) until its last day.

    My responses:

    1) he uses Robin's departure as an excuse to save more money and fills the Robin chair with one of the staffers on and off, and uses Lisa for the news.

    2) No comeback. It's over.

Oprah could fill in. Her network is a big flop they would fit?
    Whoopi Goldberg?
    Al Roker?

What I want is Gilbert with a wig and Riley Martin.
Not in a separate booth, right up and personal with Howard.
hehe I would love that. Oh yeah, no ability to turn off Rileys
    microphone hehe.

Riley would book all the guests.
    Gilbert would do the news.

And they would be in the studio every day, esp when Howard was on there.
That might make me get a subscription again.

It would be more marbles in Howard's pocket. He'd can get anybody to read the news. Lisa G would be a good bet.
