Where, in today's popular culture, do you see Howard's influence or impact? I'm starting to think that even Howard's most conservative appraisals of his impact on popular culture were gross over-estimations. I can see the cultural impact of his former enemies... men like Jerry Seinfeld and Rush Limbaugh have their fingerprints all over modern culture, comedy and public discourse. So, what is Howard's legacy exactly? Is there anything he 'innovated' that hasn't aged horribly? I can't think of anything.
