What is that bit called where Howard and Robin are suppose to be war dudes

    They use a voice changer and make their voices deeper. I think robin goes by ray. I think this is different than the Vietnam veteran bit.

    For the record, the "real" Bob and Ray were a very famous comic duo in their time (and nothing to do with the hamster voices). Bob's son is the strange actor Chris Elliott. Not sure why their names were appropriated; I think it was just a lazy convenience.

    Edit: not hamsters; that was Ham and Slam, opposite end of the vocoder dial.

    I used to love that show Chris Elliot did back in the late 80's - he was like a 37 year old paperboy living with his father who hated him.

    I always hated that bit. So unfunny and pointless. One of the few times I changed the channel back in the Golden Age of the Sten show. Even Jackie feeding Howard lines couldn't save it from being boring.
