I'm trying to avoid having a cable box or cable running to the smart TV that is wall mounted on our deck.

I'd like to be able to watch football under the stars but don't want cluttery cables and shit.

Put the cable in your butthole and hold the remote.

You'll save yourself a lot of trouble by just running a cable it just always works when other ways tend to shit out

I just don't want a cable box outside... I suppose there's probably a way around the box, though.

Its never the easiest or prettiest way to go but it always works.

I tried a ton of ways to stream to one of my tvs and while many worked if the WiFi went out or got slow everything went to crap or didn't work at all. I ended up getting super annoyed and just ran a damn cable wire

Why can't you leave a box inside and just run a wire?

I was thinking I might try downloading an app from my cable provider and then using chromecast.

I suppose I can. I was hoping to be able to change cable channels without hassle, tho.

Who do you get your cable from? What kind of box is attached? What kind of cable from the box to the TV?

Sounds like you want a Bluetooth remote.

Probably the easiest and cheapest. You will have to watch the same channel on both sets of you piggy back them.
