There's a whole segment from the Show two weeks ago titled "Broadcast vs Podcasts" wherein Howard once again bashes Podcasts. Then during a Hanzi call, Howard enjoys Hanzi's craziness until the very SECOND he mentions Stern's Podcast issue, at which point Howard hangs up. Is it that they are a legitimate threat to him and Sirius because they are free and popular? Is it because they don't represent a decent life-line for him to go to after Sirius because he wouldn't be able to charge ridiculous, Sirius-level fees (and "earn" his ridiculous paycheck)? Usually Howard is smart enough to ignore competition, but this time he seems to be going out of his way to blast Podcasts in a way even his staff doesn't get (Robin asked if maybe he's getting out of touch, and Benjy wants to have his own Podcast).
