I can't say that my most prized possession is my wife, she owns me.

    I'll say this instead:

Nice!! Lately I have had an itch to purchase one...probably listening to Howard too much ramble on about his latest hobby, but it does look like fun

I enjoy it a lot. Plus it's a good excuse to go outside and enjoy the nice weather. For once in my life that i'm doing something creative.

Of course my wife and kids then would be house but that can be replaced in the event of a tragedy so my dad passed away in 73 and left me his guitars. Those can only be replaced with money that the insurance company will value them at.

No just a hobbyist but he was my dad and the guitars were his so of course they are meaningful.

Is that first one a 137? Can't tell what the others are but the headstock on the white looks like a Heritage out of Kalamazoo.

My dad left me a 345 and two Japanese acoustics he picked up when he was stationed in Japan. I never had them looked at and I imagine they are just dimestore guitars he picked up to bang around but I have been told the 345 could fetch upwards of 10k in the right market.

I am sure you would be bummed if your parents house was wrecked though. But their insurance would pay and you wouldn't be out on the mean streets
