I've always loved Beetle...Gary the Retard, Bigfoot, Hanzi + have also been funny. But if I have to be honest, I think it's wrong of Howard to have ever had them on. He's basically putting on a modern day freak show, and everyone knows they're not being fairly compensated.

Howard's made hundreds of millions of dollars off his show, and disabled people have always been a big hit for him. If your brother or sister was handicapped, would you want them being exploited by Howard?

...too late. howard got to use them for entertainment and make money on them and nobody tried to stop him. they might have been disgusted but for every person like that there was someone willing to watch or listen. howard the puppeteer.

It was ugly and mean and wrong, but it was funny. For the most part, anything they were involved with came by their own request or choice.

I've always had mixed feelings about some of the whack packers and how they were exploited, but if there's criticism to throw at Howard, I deserve some too. I laughed my ass off at that shit over the years.

    Hmmm...

    > For the most part, anything they were involved with came by their own request or choice

We're talking about handicapped people (mentally and/or physically) who are very easily exploitable.

    > but if there's criticism to throw at Howard, I deserve some too. I laughed my ass off at that shit over the years.

Apples and oranges. It's one thing to laugh at the content, but it's another to produce it and profit WILDLY from it. Would I watch a real version of Hunger Games if it was shown on TV? Yes. Do I actually believe they should make such a show? No - but again, I WOULD watch it.

It never bothered me and it was never something that I thought about until my dad became paralyzed three years ago. My sensitivity to people with handicaps is now more heightened. But damn that beet is one funny Mf'er.

Where else would these people get the attention or treatment that THSS gives them? He does exploit and use them but at the same time they turn into miniature celebrities who have better lives than they probably would without them. I do find it kind of fucked up but for the most part especially in recent years, Howard does treat them like human beings.

...slow adam, john the stutterer, crackhead bob, and of course hank were all good wackpackers. the mentally handicapped ones is kind of unfair to use them as a freak show exhibit but thats howard and i guess people were willing to pay to hear him do it, you know the advertisers paid to sponsor it.

    > Where else would these people get the attention or treatment that THSS gives them?

That's the definition of exploitation. Why not put them all in a circus so people could pay to watch them live? Where else would they get the chance to be watched by so many people???

    > Howard does treat them like human beings.

Howard treats human beings like human beings? What a great guy!
