before I jet off to Vegas for the rest of the week?
Try to get into Franklin's BBQ
Salt Lick is in the airport... they still hold their own.
If you happen to see Charlie Strong punch him in the nuts for me.
Get a whole bunch of cheap heroin and shoot it in your groin.
I've never actually had Franklin's but I've been to Salt Lick in Driftwood. If Franklin's is better than that, it's some damn good meat.
Are these two momos from Texas seriously suggesting someone go to eat bbq at the airport?
I know. There's a grocery store right across the street from my hotel.
Not me. I'd recommend the Salt Lick in Driftwood if you have a car.
Threadgills is kind of an old timey place that has good food and entertainment. There were a couple of other bars that I really liked but I can't remember the names. I think one of them was on Lake Travis but there are probably a dozen like that.
Go see the bats on Congress Street. Get there early and there is a hotel with a bar you can sit outside on the patio and wait for them to appear.
There are several other Texas people on here. I think Mack lived in Austin for a while. Keep bumping.
Expecting thunderstorms all weekend.
If you have time, go to Fredricksburg. THere's a cool WWII museum there.
I have family in and around Austin but I lived in Schertz.
I do miss Texas.
That can be a pretty good show all by itself.
drive an hour west and hike enchanted rock
oh and watch the bats on congress
