This is not a debate whether or not I think they get another contract (I say definitely yes, but a way different deal).

Who do you think out of the following would leave for another position first instead of working the whole contract out

Robin, Fred, Gary, Benjy, Scott, Ronnie, Jason, Will, JD, Sal, Richard

I put my money on Will.
Will seems to have little by little loosened the umbilical cord

Benjy. With talent like that, SNL or Late Night or some big sitcom is going to snatch him up!

None of those have real leverageable options not involving the wearing of a service uniform.

To be honest, I haven't listened to the show for so long that I really don't know who JD, Will and Jason are. I'm only familiar with their names because of this message board.

As for who would leave first, the real question should be -- Who would hire ANY of them?

I hope Sal & Richard do well. They're really the only two that are still likeable from the team.

They will be fine, Sal is a good comedian and writer and Richard a hell of a musician.

    Richard I agree with
Sal is a juvenile writer & comedian, I can't see him doing well after THSS.

That show in the hallway he did was very funny and well written, his cooking shows on youtube aren't to bad either. IMO

Pretty sure everyone on the staff has already moved on. Lord knows they don't do any work for THSS.

I could see Richard and Sal going on to bigger and better things....Sal will get a part in TV show....Richard will join an established band that recently had a death . The rest forget about it.

The entire Stern staff have been basically on a paid vacation since Howard signed his new deal. Why would anyone bail on the gravy train? Robin, Fred, and Gary are getting paid either high six figures (Gary) or seven figures (Fred and Robin) to work 2-3 days a week for 30 weeks a year. None of them could leave and make nearly as much and would have to work ten times as hard.

I think Benjy, Sal, and Richard could probably get jobs from people in the entertainment industry who are fans of Howard, but then they would be exposed that they really have no transferable talents like Jackie and Stuttering John have shown.

I don't think the rest of the staff gets paid all that well, but most of them are either Stern sycophants and/or have no transferable skills. There isn't a huge market for people who watch TV shows and pull the sound clips. And even though they don't get paid well, they will get paid more than they would elsewhere since the radio industry is dying.

Take a look at how well the Howard TV people have done. This would be a good indication for the rest of them.

Has Sirius caught on that nobody listens to the Howard Stern show? Sirius executives have to be the stupidest bunch of suits ever.
