They didn't let me do what I wanted to Robin. Hoo Hoo Hoo.
NBC won't cancel AGT. They will get rid of Stern as a judge and likely go with a young hot chick for 1/15th of the salary Stern made
Doesn't it still come in 1st or 2nd in the time slots it's on?
Yeah. The show ain't going anywhere.
"Robin, there are too many talent shows on TV these days. The NBC execs assured me it wasn't b/c of me"
my mother is a fan of him on agt.
"i love that howie stern on that talent show".
im not sure if she means our howard, or mandel
i recall when i thought it was cool to be a stern fan. so embarrassed how dumb i was
It was cool to be a Howard fan when Howard was cool. These days, not so much.
to be honest I sometimes question if even that is still true
I think dude was always full of shit.
Howard has already started his, "I'm exhausted from AGT, I want a life again." It's his prep for not being re-upped.
There is going to be a lot of spinning going on after the season. NBC is likely going to wipe the slate clean which means they are not going to ask Howard back. They will likely make it known even if it is subtilely that Howard was a failure and they don't want him back. Howard is going to spin it that they are begging him to come back and tool the show around him more because he was the only thing that was working, but after two years he is done because it was so demanding on him. I am sure the Howard sheep will buy his BS excuse hook line and sinker.
You are partially right, but you forgot how he is going to claim that NBC threw more money at him and wanted to make the show more about him. You know it's coming.
You know what's funny. I have owned a convertible the entire time Howard was on Sirius. I used to turn down the radio at stop lights because I didn't want people to hear the profanity of the show. Now on the rare occassions I listen in my car, I turn the radio down at stop lights because I embarrassed to let people know I am listening to Stern.
Howard will likely be tipped off that it will be cancelled, and therefore announce his intentions not to resign just in time.
Then he can claim that the cancellation was due to him leaving the show and without him, the show would have been canceled 2 years ago
this, except it will be a second dude instead of a third chick
Aside from how fantastic it will be for us, anybody with any sense, taste, and eyesight can see what an eyesore he is, how out of place he is, and how completely wrong for that show he is.
I still can't believe he hasn't been "outed" for how horribly douchey he is on that show. If you string all the Nemo gifs together you'd have a major freakazoid douche-chill montage, the likes of which the world has never seen.
I also still can't believe they hired the ugliest, most un-fun motherfucker on the planet, with a Q-Rating in the shitter, for that show. It would be like hiring Beefus as a chef based on that bowl of marshmellow fluff-vomit she hoofed out onto Rachel Ray's show.
I think the execs thought he was going to be a Simon Cowell anti-hero type judge that can bring 3-5 million new viewers. Instead they got the new p.c. castrated Stern whose dwindling following is all ready tired of watching him make a fool of himself.
"What did he say Robin? Robin? Robin? Fred is it time for a spot break?"
other than us, everyone(tv execs, media, celebs, old fans) still think hes 90s howard.
i tried to tell my brother(who didnt come to sirius because his wife wouldnt let him) about the new howard and he doesnt believe me, thinks im kidding
and that is what is most frustrating! Nothing worse than listening to ole skool guests come on like Kidd Rock/Al Michaels etc... still thinking Howard is the most honest guy in radio... It is so apparent that neither listen to the show anymore
They brought in Howard because they thought all of his fans would tune in. They did, all 25 of them.
It's the No. 1 show of the summer. It attracts 10 million viewers during a time when people don't watch TV.
PArks and Recreation, Community and a lot of NBC shows attract like 4 million viewrs DURING the season, and they're not canceled.
So, no, NBC is not canceling AGT.
As for Howard's future, well, we'll see what happens.
