By now, we've all seen how the A-list celebs, the media, and the American public have all celebrated David Letterman's career for the last month or so on his retirement tour. It's been fantastic in that it's caused Gunky to be so butt hurt over all the positive attention that Letterman's been getting. This got me thinking, what will the reaction be when Gunky finally retires? Assuming he's still with Sirius, will they shell out any marboes for a big celebration, a la the Birthday Bash? I think we all know that if Gunky goes to the Pay Podcasting route, he won't throw any of his own cash towards a "fucacta" retirement party? My guess is that Gunky won't see anything close to the love and adulation that Letterman got. It will probably be just Wolfie on the street outside of an OTB in Philly asking homeless people what they thought about the "great" Howard Stern's retirement played over and over again as well as maybe a few puff pieces by Maryanne from Garvey and Beefus going on those shows with the yentas hosting, flailing and bawling her eyes out. Anyone care to give any predictions on how it will go?
