Will Art just focus on the stand-up for a while? Is he limited, on what he can do, by the original Premier/DirecTV contract? Is he working on his wedding (picking out floral patterns)? He did mention, on his last show, that he might have something in works (that could involve the Matrimonial Peacemaker and The Mayor of Chooch). Any body hearing anything? Also, I wonder where the twins will land? Certainly not in show business again.
: Artie LangeVerified account @artiequitter The Paperback for CRASH AND BURN comes out June 3rd. Stay tuned for another special June 3rd announcement… http://www.amazon.com/Crash-Burn-Artie-Lange/dp/1476765596/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=&qid= …
I am going to see Artie and Bob Levy the 28th of June in Coral Springs. if he happens to mention anything live I'll post it.
When he was on Nick DiPaolo's podcast he mentioned him & Nick possibly doing another project in the future, but that might have just been a stand-up gig or two. He owes Norm Macdonald a podcast (which I assume he'll do next time he's in California) and he'll probably do some press for the paperback of Crash & Burn. Which was an incredibly depressing read if you haven't heard..
I was going to buy C&B when it first came out, the show really turned to shit and I backed off of buying the book. I may go ahead and buy it anyway just to see how much different it is than "Too Fat to Fish"
The latest I heard is Artie is back in the gym, working his body hard, getting it into tip top condition....the body of a young James Caan..... ...or maybe not... I agree Crash and Burn was a very depressing read. And it was not anywhere near as well written as Too Fat To Fish. Considering how long he spent promoting its release, and writing it (supposedly), it was very poorly written. It could have used a few edits, easily. I don't know why they put out such a second-rate effort when the first one was so good. It seems like the technical work on that book was just an afterthought almost. I was reading it and thinking, jesus, I could have edited this book and it would have been 20 times better.
I love Arnie. I got his first book and had to stop reading it because it was too depressing. Heard the second one is more depressing.
Saw Artie in Baltimore last night. Great show, about 90% new material, with just a few mentions of Stern, Beet and Jeff the Drunk. He is sober and sounded great, looked fat, but sounded great! He's seemed in good spirits too.
uh oh, too good of spirits means he's high did he mention anything about the artie lange show or future plans?
