My sister sent me these two books. I'm in the middle of the 1st one.

FIELD OF PREY by John Sandford
    THE TARGET by David Baldacci

I'm also gonna read that killer's manifesto after Bye You said it was good (read only first 10 pages or so).

i just finished "flamethrowers" by rachel kushner, a really intense novel about the NY art scene in the 70's, which also touches on motorcycle racing and the red brigades (violent, revolutionary italian university students wanting to transform italy).

the author is soo good she actually made the part about motorcycles interesting.

she also wrote "telex from cuba" about the last days of battista when there were still americans (employed by united fruit)living on plantations while the rest of the country languishes in poverty. raoul and fidel make appearances also.

Who is this "us" here? Could it be the people under the tiles at your mother's house?
